Posh Eatings @ the apartment downtown/klcc

Recently my colleagues and I went for a lunch treat at the apartment downturn klcc, where we get to sample some of the finest offerings this suitably posh restaurant has to offer.




The restaurant is strategically located along the row of coffee shops and other eateries that faces the park and lake area ofSuria KLCC. Spread over two floors, the apartment has the ambience of a nice, comfy, clean home setting with a good view of the lake. The main color theme is white, from the tables to the drapes that adorned
windows.







THE MAIN COURSES:



Andrew's Pasta - a nice loking pasta dish served with potatos, asparagus, basil and fettuccine. It tastes a bit bland, but otherwise a perfect choice for the health-conscious diners.


Butterflied Lemon Chicken - a new offering on the menu - which is chicken breast drenched with lemon and yoghurt. This is not bad at all. I love the tabbouleh style and the lemon flavour. My only complaint is that size of the serving is a bit too small for me. But then again, maybe that's because i have a bigger stomach capacity than most people.


Roast Duck, serve with peach, mash potato, walnut and watercress salad - mouth-watering and satisfying, a must-try



Sheppard's Pie - another new item on the menu. A simple yet delicious beef minced pie served with carrots and mashed potatoes.


Lamb Shank - served with mixed vegetables including aubergine and tomatoes. SO good, you wanna eat the bones after you're done with the meat. It will satisfy the more carnivorous of you lots.


THE DESSERTS:



Apple and Pear Crumbles - I've never tasted anything so crunchy and sweet. If you like sweet stuff, and are not diabetic, this is the dessert for you. Take one mouthful of the vanilla ice cream, then take one scoop of the crumbles, and just savour (or cringe) the overwhelming sweetness of this treat.


Baked Chocolate Pudding - the creme de la creme - a yumy-licious serving of chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. So rich and satisfying.... You simply must try this if you ever set food in this restaurant. As one of my colleagues aptly summed it up "This is sinful"...

Eton Mess - a mess it may look like, but what a delicious mess! It's a broken crisp meringue served with whipped cream and strawberry. Once you start eating, you won't be able to stop. Another must-try for dessert lovers out there.


All in all, my dining experience at the apartment downturn has been an eye-opening and pleasant one. Great ambiance, great-tasting foods (they look nice too), good service (ok they were a bit late with the drink orders, but other than that, everything's fine) and let's not forget the desserts ok.
